**EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2024, NEW RENEWAL REQUIREMENT applies to a Florida Professional Certificate with an expiration date of June 30, 2025, or later .

Y ou will be required to meet the new renewal requirement (below) by March 15th of the year your certificate expires:
40 in-service points in development literacy (DL)
+ 20 in-service points in teaching students with disabilities (SWD)
+ 60 in-service points (miscellaneous)
120 total in-service points
**EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2024, if you have Ed Leadership or School Principal certification, 20 in-service points in Ed Leadership are required.
If your professional certificate does not have one of the areas above printed on your certificate, your renewal requirements will remain the same: 120 total in-service points with twenty (20) of those points in SWD.
